Our friend Suzanne is getting married this summer and is looking for a good caterer. They're planning their reception for the Vancouver Rowing Club and are hoping to have a barbeque meal of steak and salmon and a variety of salads.
If you know of a reliable and talented caterer who can fill the bill, let us know!
We had to shop around a bit to find Moroccan preserved lemons and finally found some at Gourmet Warehouse. Although preserved lemon can be omitted from the recipe, it adds a very unique, slightly bitter-tart flavour to the dish that we loved.
Margaret is a friend who we met when she organized our cooking schools on our honeymoon.
She's organizing a cooking class which promises to be just as great as the last one. Check it out! We would go ordinarily but with a baby on the way, Barb can't drink so we probably won't be there. I am sure it will be wonderful and well worth the money.
(via scoble) If you like cooking but don't like shopping for ingredients or don't have a kitchen and have money, then dreamdinners may be a good idea for you. For US $200 for 12 entrees (each entree feeds 4-6 adults), you pick what you want to cook, dreamdinners buys the ingredents, you cook at their kitchen and they clean up. Only available in the USA for now, but I bet this will come to Canada soon.
