Could somebody please recommend the best place to get sushi in downtown Vancouver for lunch? It could be takeout or even better if they can deliver it. I am familiar with lots of sushi places but none of my favourites are downtown!

Saab Ken recommends the Vietnamese subs at Tiem Bahn Dong Khan (sp ?) on Kingsway, at the corner of Inverness Must try this out. It's only a 10-15 minute walk from where we live I reckon!

Yesterday, we dropped by the new Korean restaurant in Coquitlam (again for the third time in two weeks) we tried a new type of Naeng-Myun (with buckweat noodles) soup and Dwengun-Jikae. The food and service were both delicious.

Moderne Burger (VanEats Moderne Burger Review) has reopened! The kid, Barb and I ate there tonight and we are very happy to report that Peter and Kathy are friendly as usual and the food is delicious as usual. Nothing has changed. Everything is yummy!

Just to set the record straight (an article in the Edmonton Journal - link broken due to Canada.com not caring about being an authority on the web - said that lex culinaria is the only food blog in Western Canada), VanEats was the first foodblog in Vancouver (it started in June 2000 unlike lex culinaria which started in 2004) and probably Western Canada. Being first doesn't really matter though.
