This Thanksgiving a few friends made roast turkey using our recipe. They all got rave reviews from family and friends and I got a lot of thanks for posting the recipe.
Actually, full credits go to my mum, Betty, for coming up with the recipe!! She devised the high heat, moist method that ensures a juicy turkey in half the usual time. So thanks for the turkey, Mum, and thanks for your great cooking, culinary ideas and all your other recipes!
On October 22, Jamie Oliver is coming to Chapters for a book signing session for his latest book, Jamie's Kitchen. I will be there with the other Naked Chef fans vying for an autographed copy of his book and a chat!

Barb and I celebrated Thanksgiving yesterday as usual with her delicious Roast Turkey. We have much to be thankful for. We are incredibly thankful to the readers of VanEats for sharing their food experiences with us!

Cafe Gloucester (3338 Cambie Street, 604 873-3338) is a Hong Kong style restaurant more than a cafe.
The room is slightly more upscale and the food slightly more expensive than its counterparts in Chinatown and Richmond such as The Boss. In this way, it fits perfectly with the neighbourhood (Cambie and 17th).
Local Flavour is a new Vancouver food magazine. They have a cool website that is running on a blog like system. The only thing missing is an RSS feed that I can subscribe to. I am sure they will add one soon.
