This looks like another fun event that baby willing Barb and I can get to. In addition to the normal food events, this year they have added a $2 discount for donations to the Union Gospel Mission and a a cool 'Bowls of Hope' feature both of which are excellent ideas!
Congrats to Stephanie and the rest of the Libby's crew on the imminent move to serving dinner and getting a liquor license. See you on April 5th or thereabouts!
I've created an assignment for Prado Cafe at NowPublic. The people who submit (free membership required) by April 14th the best video and the best photo (with permission from the Prado staff of course and I am the sole judge and jury :-)!) get a free coffee on me!
Wow! Arieanna is really hitting her stride with Vancouver Coffee! The Prado Cafe coffee sounds good, a little bit on the right (in my opinion) side of over roasted; i.e. smoother and not as over roasted as others. Can't wait for Coffee Geek to chime in and will somebody please post some pictures :-) ?
Had an *interesting* experience with the folks from Prado (northeast corner of 4th and Commercial, website forthcoming) yesterday. I took some pictures and one of the staff ran out and told me to delete them. No sweat off my back, so I deleted the photos! But isn't all publicity, good publicity, especially VanEats 1000+ visitors per day :-) ?
Barb and I really enjoyed our brief visit to Falconetti's Sausage Company (1812 Commercial Drive, 604 251-7287) today. Not only were the staff friendly, but the sausage is great; probably the best I've had in the city!
