Mini-Review: Zanzibar Cafe Bar

The Zanzibar Cafe Bar (1851 Commercial Drive, 604 215-2008) is a down to earth, non pretentious restaurant. It is inviting and cozy. 

The food is also that way; on our visits we have noticed people happily enjoying normal Western breakfasts.  That's all fine and good but the real delight at Zanzibar is the inexpensive Moroccan food.

Everything is under $10 and delicious but the highlight for me was the lamb couscous shown  above. At $6.55, it is an inexpensive umami flavour treat.  Highly recommended.
