Legendary Noodle Video at Eat Vancouver

Here's a very amateur video from Eat! Vancouver on Friday (12MB, grainy, low resolution 320x200, 15 frames per second) of one of the cool chefs from Legendary Noodle making noodles. Mesmerizing and fun for the whole family. And great noodles and food at Legendary Noodle too!

Roti Bistro replaced by Sejuiced

I can no longer deny it. Roti Bistro is no more on 4th, sigh. Can anybody confirm that they have re-opened or will re-open at West Broadway near Cambie? Please leave a comment. I need my doubles!

[Felix Ng] New Authentic Mexican Restaurant in Richmond!

Hi Everyone!

There's a new Mexican restaurant called Cantina Mexicana (Mexican Kitchen) at No.6 and Mayfield Place (it's on the left driveway at the end of Mayfield).  They have authentic home made style Mexican dishes such as flotas, sopa de torillas, tortas, and even seafood (mariscos).  The average price of a dish is $5 and it's well worth it.  The owner Carlos is from Mexico.  Tell him Felix sent you!  They are open from 7-4pm Mon-Thurs, until 10pm on Fri and Sat and closed on Sundays.

[EDITOR'S NOTE:

Cafe Asia has closed

According to jack and jill dine out, Cafe Asia has closed. I will miss them. Cafe Asia was the only place in the city (as far as I know) that served Filipino (and other Asian) food in a true restaurant style. I love the many cafeteria style Filipino restaurants in Vancouver, but sometimes it's nice to be waited upon.

If you know of a non cafeteria style Filipino restaurant, please leave a comment.

First Visit: Au Petit Cafe - Best Vietnamese sandwiches in the city for only $4!

Our latest stop in the "go out as much as possible before the baby is born" tour was the Au Petit Cafe (4851 Main St., 604 873-3328).

First Visit - Brioche on Cordova

Inspired by Tim Pawsey's Brioche review in the Vancouver Courier, I had lunch at Brioche (401 West Cordova Street, 604 682-4037) on Monday.

My pick for today was one of the chalkboard specials, the Spaghetti Salsiccia for $7.95. Excellent pasta with Sicilian sausage that was flavourful and a little spicy. Mmm.
