Eat This New York - A Documentary About the Business of Food

Sounds like Eat This New York is a must see for those who love food and restaurants! It'll be worth it just to see the appearances by Ruth Reichl, Jean-Georges Vongerichten and Tim Zagat.

UBC Chinese Culinary Arts course needs more students

The Chinese Culinary Arts course at UBC (that I tried to take earlier but was cancelled) has postponed its start to Monday February 9 in order to get more students.

Check the course outline (PDF) out! We'll be eating at four different Chinese restaurants (two in Richmond and two in Vancouver) and exploring the many Chinese regional cuisines.

Gung Haggis Fat Choy 2004

Yesterday's and tonight's Gung Haggis Fat Choy Dinners were wonderful! Great food and great entertainment organized by Toddish McWong's clan of multi-cultural subversives. Check out my Gung Haggis Fat Choy 2004 report for details.

Margaret's latest Vancouver Italian Cooking Class

Margaret is a friend who we met when she organized our cooking schools on our honeymoon.

She's organizing a cooking class which promises to be just as great as the last one. Check it out! We would go ordinarily but with a baby on the way, Barb can't drink so we probably won't be there. I am sure it will be wonderful and well worth the money.

DreamDinners - Home cooked dinners that you cook yourself but somebody else cleans and buys the ingredients

(via scoble) If you like cooking but don't like shopping for ingredients or don't have a kitchen and have money, then dreamdinners may be a good idea for you. For US $200 for 12 entrees (each entree feeds 4-6 adults), you pick what you want to cook, dreamdinners buys the ingredents, you cook at their kitchen and they clean up. Only available in the USA for now, but I bet this will come to Canada soon.
