Citytv's Taste of the City looks like a fun event. Admission is FREE and you can sample sample size signature items from restaurants like Bis Moreno, Feenie's and Maurya for a nominal fee. There are also cooking demos and other events.
Walker New York : Eats is yet another cool New York City blog about food (the RSS file is here). I wish Vancouver had more food blogs like VanEats. C'mon Vancouverites our food is just as good as New York, much cheaper and we have just as many food lovers! Start a blog today!
Don't know how to blog or how to start one? Leave a comment or call me at 604 729 7924!
DailyDiner has tons of American restaurant reviews. It has an unconventional user interface. You enter the zip code of the place you are interested in checking out and it shows you the reviews from that zip code. For San Francisco, enter 94101 and Seattle enter 98101.
Not my cup of tea because it's hard to keep up with new reviews. I would prefer a blog format and an RSS file. Your mileage may vary :-) !
Inspired by our Pajo's report, Mark Allerton (who's a Brit living in Vancouver), left a comment with a link to an article about the Top ten chip shops in the UK. Thanks Mark! Of course, if anybody out there actually tries one of these chippies in the UK, we'd love to hear from you!
NYC Eats is a new blog about eating in New York City! Welcome! I hope it evolves to be like VanEats and talks about Farmers Markets, where to shop for food, etc. in addition to the current focus on restaurant reviews. Subscribed!
Althought it's not frequently updated, Drinkboy (the blog, the message boards and the website are all worth following). Since I subscribe to the blog, it doesn't matter how often it updates and I don't have to manually surf to it.
