Hmmmm. What do you think? I think this is a whole culture shift that won't fly in North America! Barb and I attended the Slow Food Vancouver Tomato potluck at Granville Island tonight. It was my first Slow Food potluck and it was fabulous just like Barb said it would be. It's worth joining just to join in and eat and bring food to one of these fab potlucks!
Just to set the record straight (an article in the Edmonton Journal - link broken due to Canada.com not caring about being an authority on the web - said that lex culinaria is the only food blog in Western Canada), VanEats was the first foodblog in Vancouver (it started in June 2000 unlike lex culinaria which started in 2004) and probably Western Canada. Being first doesn't really matter though.
At yesterday's WaiterBlog dinner at Fiction, I was lucky enough to sit with the crazy fun Andrew "Mr. WaiterBlog" Morrison and "Chambar" Mark and other cool people.
