Cucina Manila - Grand Opening

Back in September, I spotted a new Filipino restaurant, Cucina Manila (5179 Joyce, phone number unknown).  Today I walked by and noticed that that the sign had changed from "Soon to open" to  "Grand Opening".  Didn't have time to check it out (other than noticing that the hours seem to be 10a.m.-9p.m.) but plan to do so in the near future! I hope  they have inexpensive, home style Filipino dishes like balatong and adobo!  In the meantime, if anybody has tried it out, please leave a comment.

Here's how the restaurant looked back in September before the grand opening:

Does anybody know the telephone number of Cucina Manila yet? Please e-mail me directly. Thanx.

This place has great food and friendly staff. You can get a combo of 2 items and rice for $6, which is a better deal for Filipino food than other places. We've been going every other day since it opened to try out all the items (bbq, lumpia, palabok, relleno, empanada, adobo,...) and haven't been disappointed yet. Since it's near a Catholic church, the joint is roadblocked after each Mass. Either way I'm happy that my neighbourhood, with its high number of budget but delicious food places, finally has a Filipino place. And to VanEats: your site is a foodie's dream! Salamat po!

Pogi :-) , thanks for checking the place out. I definitely want to try it out now.  $6 combo with palabok sounds great!

yeah it's going to be fun trying them all!
