Marcello Pizzaria

Marcello is one of the best pizzarias in Vancouver. Right on the Drive, it's a great place to drop by for a scrumptious lunch on a busy shopping day.

Mini-Review: Marcello Pizzaria and Lombardo's

UPDATE March 2003: We also love Lombardo's (#120, Il Mercato Mall, 1641 Commercial Drive, 604 251-2240). Same great food (since Lombardo's is the father of Marcello)! Just a slightly different atmosphere. Lombardo's is more cozy and trad, Marcello's is more trendy and happening.

British addicted to curry?

Are the British addicted to curry? (via Robot Wisdom)

Don't know about that but when I lived in England, Londoners sure liked their curry especially late at night after going out and drinking too much!

I guess curry addiction would be a variant of "wai sik" !

Cinnamon Biscotti

Yikes! Christmas is only 2 months away! Time to start planning holiday gifts, parties and baking! I love giving homemade gifts from my kitchen, so I like to plan what I'll be making, how I'll package them and who will get some goodies.

The Art of Pot Luck

My workplace had a pot luck lunch today. Usually these are reserved for special occasions, like farewells or holidays, but the staff decided to have one because we had so much fun and good food the last time!

Andrea's Banana Bread

Andrea's recipe from yesterday for banana bread sounds delicious!

Please let us know if you try it and like it!

By the way, Andrea, baking powder is exactly the same as "Backpulver". As for "Mandelstifte", I think that translates into almond pieces. I saw this tons of times on the grocery shelves when I lived in Germany but now I don't remember!

90% of our Site Structure was erased!

Hi! More technical difficulties; it appears that 90% of our site structure (or user friendly names for those not familiar with Manila) was erased sometime between October 15th and 21st.

Not only the stuff that I mentioned yesterday was lost, the FAQs, Privace & Policies, Colophon and Feedback were also lost.

I will restore these tomorrow. Again my apologies for the inconvenience.
