First Visit - Infuze Tea House

First, my apologies to the good folks at Infuze for inadvertently calling them Matcha in yesterday's post (I need more sleep!).

The Infuze Tea House (604 688-3170, 870 West Cordova Street) is a stylish, hip place to sip tea, eat some sweet and savoury snacks as accompaniments and buy tea for brewing at home.

The takeout tea is not cheap (e.g. matcha tea is a whooping $28 for 30 grams) but it is 100% organic and meets the most stringent Japanese and German standards.

Luckily, if you buy a cuppa and sip it there and take it out, it is very affordable; basically the same as Starbucks (about $2 and up) for a far superior and healthier product.

The matcha green tea that I tried yesterday had a great clear green tea flavour and was delightful to sip from a traditional Japanese bowl.

I'll definitely be back for a full mini-review.

Infuze is great! They just opened a new location on Denman - which i noticed at the fireworks. They take pride in the products - like all good owners should.
