S is for Sachertorte

I was in Vienna recently for BlogTalk 2.0 and tried out the fabled Sachertorte (check out my Sachertorte photo over on Flickr) at Hotel Sacher. It was OK (expensive at 4.5 Euros) but I like Barb's cakes and the cakes at places like True Confections better.

I bet that the concept and the cake has been diluted now that the hotel has been overrun by tourists. I wish I had the time to figure out where the insiders go for cake (I bet it's off the hidden path and tastier!). Naechstes Mal/next time!
