Cafe Asia has closed

According to jack and jill dine out, Cafe Asia has closed. I will miss them. Cafe Asia was the only place in the city (as far as I know) that served Filipino (and other Asian) food in a true restaurant style. I love the many cafeteria style Filipino restaurants in Vancouver, but sometimes it's nice to be waited upon.

If you know of a non cafeteria style Filipino restaurant, please leave a comment.

It's been closed for a while-or was operating intermittently at best-I never did catch it when it was open. Oh well hope springs eternal I'm sure some optimist has their eye on the place.

Wow, thanks for the link Roland. I didn't think anyone read our little blog! It was a really nice little spot that got unfairly lumped in with some of the other "fusion tapas" places that sprang up at the time.
