where2eat.ca

where2eat.ca is another Vancouver restaurant guide website that doesn't have an RSS file that you can subscribe to.  It seems to be a totally ad-driven site.  Is it just me or are these sites all alike? Anyways you can choose restaurants by location (e.g. Denman or Kerrisdale) or interest (like Chinese).  Check it out and let me know what you think.

All the bigger name YVR dining sites are a waste of time and effort, IMHO. I mean, really frankly, have any of them stayed dynamic or had legs? Dunno if perhaps one of the local foodie rags (there is one, still, methinks) runs one off the end of their desk, replete with a column or two. But ultimately, Roland, the smart $'s on you and efforts like VanEats. These people should be beating down your door to syndicate this--at the very least. Or knocking politely, as we tend to prefer in Vancouver.

yeah, you are right, but i keep hoping that one of the bigger name dining sites finally "gets it" and hires a blogger or posts regularly rather than once a week or once a month or just rotating the ads, and of course we'd be interested in having our stuff syndicated on The Tyee or even writing for the Tyee or some such publication that gets it! fresh, regularly updated relevant stuff about food is all I ask from any food site, big, small, for money or love and yes i'd love to get a food rag online or otherwise to pay for our meals and food expenses so we could write more food related stuff

And I'll say it a 3rd time if the caffeine'll support me... drats, must get back to the late shift here.
