lunchbox soup pictures

Here are some photos from Friday's lunch at lunchbox soup.
First, a picture of the excellent curried celery and butternut squash soup:

And finally a picture of the yummy yogurt with lemon, peaches and blue berries (if you look carefully in the background, you can see one of the staff in their white garb):

I notice most close-up pictures of the foods on Vaneats website are out of focus. Is that the pictures themselves or something with my Net browser ?

...and try using your macro (closeup) mode.

did that but i think the real problem is: a) my shaky hand :-) ! b) too slow of a shutter speed (i will use ASA 200 to make it faster) thanks for the feedback! ...Roland

Ken, I think decent slide scanners are available now for under $CAN 500

thanks for digging that one up i think the only way of changing the shutter speed is to change the ASA rating i will try changing the ASA rating from "auto" to "400" for indoor food shots. Hopefully that will help. I probably should use the flash but I don't because I think it's annoying for other customers!

Roland, I suspect it should at least have a manual override if not either aperture nor shutter priority modes. See: http://www.canon-s400-powershot-buying-guide.us/#S400%A0Specs I'm still very much the acetate film guy for the past 23 years and will maaaaybe get into digital one day. Either that or save for a Nikon slides scanner : )

nope it's not you or your web browser! well spotted! Yes, my pictures are out of focus due to not so steady hands and the fact that I haven't figured out how to increase the shutter speed on my Canon S400.  Dogma 2000 is another possible excuse ! I need more money so I can buy a better compact point and shoot camera that I can set to shutter priority :-)
