Dim sum and books are two of my favourite things!

And the Vancouver Public Library is having an event that combines them both! This Saturday they will be holding a dim sum lunch from 11a.m. - 1p.m.

My friend Denise asked me where I recommend eating dim sum in Vancouver.

This is a very tough question because there are so many great dim sum restaurants particularly in Vancouver and Richmond.

Here are my current personal favourites. There are many more great ones out there but these are the ones I know about and love. Feel free to let us know about your favourites.

It's funny how surfing the web goes sometimes. Barb pointed out orientalfood.com to me. The site isn't too bad. They have user-contributed recipes which seem OK, but what really caught my eye was their page on dim sum. I love dim sum!

Tomorrow Friday December 1, 2000 and Saturday December 2, 2000, you can raise money for the United Way of Vancouver by eating dim sum at participating restaurants. Sounds like the best of all possible worlds: eating and giving simultaneously!
