Since our first visit to Tamarind Bistro (1626 West Broadway, 604-733-5335), they have remodelled a bit. Check out this photo of the kitchen. It is now visible and the corridor opposite now has cocktail tables and it leads to a lounge under construction :
Excellent! The ambiance is even better now.
But who cares about the ambiance, what about the food?
I am happy report that four months on, the food is still spot on. Everything we tried tonight was tasty and distinct in flavour:. We enjoyed two appetizers: Tamarind Tikka for $7 and Mumtaz Salad for $7 (a fav from our first visit and even better this time. Also two mains: Punjabi Spinach Panir ($9 and unlike a lot of places there was lots of delicious panir in addition to excellent spinach) and the lamb Korma Sutra ($15, a tasty blend of flavours with tender morsels of lamb).
