Kitchen Confidential

So, I read Kitchen Confidential. I have to admit I was disappointed. I did get some handy tips about when to eat in restaurants (Tuesday-Thursday). And it reinforced my desire to eat in busy restaurants (fresher food). But, far too much of the book was dedicated to discussing his cocaine habit and the effects it had on his life and cooking! And saddest of all, he didn't include his favourite recipes :(

I checked out Hot Sour Salty Sweet at Chapters today. It's a beautiful book. The recipes looked very similar to the ones in Seductions of Rice so I'll have to look at it more closely. The photos and travel stories are very enticing...
