Satay Pork Steaks

Marinade:
1/2 Tbsp. fresh ginger, grated
2 cloves garlic, mashed
1/2 Tbsp. Malaysian curry powder
1 Tbsp. honey
3 Tbsp. soy sauce
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 Tbsp. lime or lemon juice

1 1/2 lb. pork shoulder butt steaks or loin chops

Combine all marinade ingredients in a large bowl.
Add meat and marinate for up to 24 hours before grilling over medium-hot coals.

Makes 4 servings

This marinade is also great with whole chicken or chicken pieces, which can then be roasted at 375 degrees F for 45 minutes.

For satay skewers, slice meat into thin, long slices before marinating. Thread onto skewers that have been soaked in water for 1/2 hour. Barbeque over medium-hot coals.
