1st Visit: Jolly's Bistro

Angela Murrills' review of Jolly's Bistro (2778 West 4th Avenue, 604-730-6929) was spot on as we discovered on our first visit last week to celebrate our wedding anniversary.

In brief: a  homey atmosphere combined with cheap (we paid $10 for a butter chicken special that included rice, naan, salad and a beer) deliciously flavoured food using two sauce bases that are obviously made from scratch judging by their depth of flavour.
