In response to our news item about cooking classes, Ryan wrote to tell us about the upcoming holiday serious amateur classes this Saturday December 7, 2002 at Dubrulle.
The first class is with Chef Caarleegh Voght from 9a.m.-1p.m. It focuses on holiday baking: "You bring the cookie tins and take home dozens of goodies for the freezer or to serve up fresh and fabulous. It's a chance to get ready for holiday entertaining with no mess in your own kitchen!". Very cool! $75 dollars is expensive but totally worth it if you have the money, your time is limited and you need holiday baking!
The second class is with Chef Glenys Morgan from Fork and Spoon from 2-5p.m. is about creating gourmet gifts and the ideas sound great "Individual festive panettone baked in a terra cotta pot; fruitcake studded with toasted almonds, citrus and apricot; wine lover's savoury shortbreads...". Cost is $80
