Hazelmere Organic Farm and John Bishop would like to welcome Greg Hook, chocolatier and owner of the world famous Chocolate Arts in Vancouver, into our kitchen as a guest chef of our cooking class series of 2002. He has created fun and easy desserts especially for this class. Greg will focus on the adaptability and technique of working with desserts. This special occassion will take place on Saturday November 23, 2002. Time: 11:00 am - 2:00 pm. Seating is limited to 20 so we recommend that you let us know ASAP to reserve your spot.

GREG HOOK
Greg Hook was born in Regina, Saskatchewan and realizing he loved cooking went to a cooking school in London, England. Upon his return he embarked on a career as a chef but found himself drawn towards desserts and pastry. He began as a pastry chef in 1984 and as a trained patissier with credits at Expo 86s Canadian Club, The Mandarin Hotel and The William Tell Restaurant, Greg developed a passion for chocolate. He studied briefly at the Callebaut College in Belgium and has masterfully married this classical training with his commitment to British Columbian products yielding unusual and beautiful art for the palate. Greg favours the use of local organic fruit and nuts and is known for his chocolate medallions which feature the designs of aboriginal artist Robert Davidson. His Vancouver store, Chocolate Arts is visited by chocolate lovers from far and wide and his edible art finds its way into gift boxes destined the world over
Chocolate Arts opened its retail store in 1992 at 2037 West 4th Avenue. The store is devoted to selling unique and innovative chocolate products emphasizing local ingredients. As well, Art in chocolate is produced in exclusive medallions designed by Robert Davidson, one of the premier Aboriginal artists in British Columbia. These medallions are distinctly Canadian.
