FarmFolk/CityFolk Society presents their 9th Annual Feast of Fields Fundraiser.

 Food, Fun and Fundraising!

A Harvest Celebration featuring the best of BC's award-winning chefs, bakers, winemakers and brewers.

Come early, and come hungry

Join more than 700 of your friends and neighbours, with wineglasses and linen napkins at the ready, for a very special afternoon stroll in the country.

For the 9th consecutive year, FarmFolk/CityFolk proudly presents the opportunity to come face-to-face with your food supply. On Sunday September 7th, the pick of this years bounty will be delivered to historic Westham Island Herb Farm by top regional producers and be lovingly transformed into acres of gourmet buffet by more than 50 of BCs award-winning chefs, bakers, winemakers, brewers and food artisansmany making their first appearance at this eagerly-awaited event.

Of course, along with a sunlit smorgasbord, the Feast offers the chance to support Farm Folk/City Folk and its many partners in their efforts to develop a locally based food system. Share a tasty bite or casual chat with the farmers, restaurateurs, producers and others working to ensure a healthier, sustainable future for all of us and our environment.

An island farm in your backyard

A one-lane wooden bridge stretches across a muddy channel of the Fraser River. Down the road on the right is the Westham Island Herb Farm, yet another ideal home for this years Feast of Fields (previous locations include the UBC Farm, VanDusen Gardens and Hazelmere Organic Farm). This working heritage farm offers its year-round visitors the opportunity to see local agriculture in action or experience it first-hand. Guests can wander paths through the garden and harvest their own ingredients for dinner, or let the friendly staff do all the work.

The farm is an all-season operation, from bedding plants and strawberries in spring through a wide variety of summer herbs and vegetables to preserves and pumpkins come autumn. Farm Folk/City Folk is pleased to partner with Westham Island Herb Farm to present what has become another local fall classic, Feast of Fields.
