The French Laundry - It's all about finesse

Ever since I heard Judy Witts glowing praise of the French Laundry and Chef Thomas Keller's philosophy of cooking during our honeymoon in Florence, I have been longing to go to The French Laundry restaurant in Napa Valley.

We have been planning on a trip to San Francisco for the longest time for our 1st wedding anniversary and if things go well, we'll be at the French Laundry to celebrate our anniversary there!

Until then, megnut's awesome account of her recent visit to the French Laundry will keep the dream alive!

Reading the menu and their experience makes me want to be there now!!! hope you have been stashing away your dollar a day.. all I need to add is the airfare from Florence too!

Hi Judy: Greetings from Vancouver! Lots of things have changed! Barb is pregnant and expecting in April 2004 and we still haven't made it to the French Laundry. But, we are working on it and coming back to Florence to eat with you again. Now that would be divine! Ciao! ...Roland
