Copia (via Brent Sleeper's Web Journal: Food) is a fascinating US $50 million new food, wine and cultural museum located in Napa Valley.
It opened recently and people are still trying to figure out what Copia is.
Whatever it is, it is clear that it would fascinate any food lover. Not only are the museum's food, wine and culture exhibits interesting, but they offer a daily changing program of food, wine and related mini-courses and seminars such as "Chocolate from Tree to Table: Blending Science and Art with Robert Steinberg, M.D." and " Old Food: Traditional Methods for Cheese, Vinegar and Aioli ". Some are free with your US $12.50 admission and the rest cost from US 10 and up.
Sounds like a definite MUST the next time Barb and I are in Napa. I wish we had something like this in Vancouver! In the meantime, if anybody visits Copia before us, please let us know what you think!
