Spring Gardening

Spring is finally here! As the weather warms up and days are starting to get longer, I'm itching to garden. This year I will have to adjust from gardening in my dad's back yard to having a balcony gardening.

This weekend I'll be sowing seeds for some mixed mesclun greens and arugula (of course!). While it's still early in the season, I'll probably plant some radishes as well. I'll be using seeds from West Coast Seeds.

Later in the season I plan to grow a variety of herbs, tomatoes and cucumbers. I'm also planning to grow beans on a teepee shaped trellis for some visual interest!

Although I'll be limited to a much smaller garden, it also means I won't have to dig or weed as much!
