Rebecca's Artichoke Dip

1/2 cup minced onion or shallots
1 tsp. butter
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup sour cream
1/2 cup grated parmesan
1/2 cup grated asiago
1 - 14 oz. can artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
Salt and pepper to taste

Saute onions or shallots in butter until soft. Cool.
Combine cooked onion with remaining ingredients. Spread in a shallow baking dish.
Bake at 400 degrees F for 20 minutes or until light brown on top.
Serve warm with bread or crackers.

Makes about 2 1/2 cups
