6 oz. chocolate chips or plain (semi-sweet) broken chocolate
Half a pint (1 cup) single cream
1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 Tbsp. rum or brandy, optional
Place chocolate in basin.
Heat cream until hot, just under boiling point, then put on to chocolate.
Using wooden spoon, beat until chocolate is melted and mixture blended. Add egg, salt and vanilla essence and beat again until smooth. Mixture will be quite thin.
Pour into six individual pots or small glasses. Chill for several hours until mixture is firm. The recipe also says that you can use a blender - we used a food processor.
